  • Rooftop installations are increasing because of lower costs and strong policy support.

User Motivation-

  • Key drivers: bill savings, environmental concern, and energy independence.

  • Users value visible rewards, reliability, and clear benefits.

  • Awareness is improving, but adoption is still limited by process complexity and low trust.

Barriers-

  • High upfront costs and slow net-metering approvals.

  • Lack of awareness and inconsistent state policies.

  • Limited roof space and financing problems for urban residents.

Insight: Users want an easy and enjoyable way to track, share, and earn from solar energy. This approach combines clarity, community, and valuable rewards to make sustainability feel personal and fulfilling.

User Story:

As a homeowner with solar panels, I want to easily track my daily energy generation and savings. This helps me understand my impact, sell surplus power, and earn rewards without handling complicated data or technical graphs.

User Flow:

This user flow aligns with user’s journey of managing his solar energy efficiently. From connecting his solar device and tracking daily generation (Stage 1–2) to managing surplus power by selling to the grid or sharing with neighbors (Stage 3–4), the app helps him turn energy savings into tangible rewards. Finally, community sharing and monthly reports reinforce his progress, motivating long-term sustainable engagement (Stage 5).
